Flying

Grob Tutor T1
All cadets get the opportunity to go air experience flying.
This is done in the RAF’s basic trainer the Grob Tutor T1.
Flights typically last 30 minutes and during that time the highly experienced instructor will show you how the controls operate and get you flying the aircraft yourself.
The Tutor T1 is fully aerobatic and once you have a flight or two under your belt, if you are feeling adventurous, you too can experience what it feels like to perform loops, barrel rolls and other maneuvers you will never do on a summer holiday flight!
Occasionally, cadets are permitted to fly in other RAF aircraft.
On recent annual camps, cadets have flow in helicopters such as the Puma and Chinook as well as Hercules transport aircraft.
